The diving twat Anthony Gordon was complaining about VAR not awarding him a penalty v Man Utd. I can see his point. Against West Ham, he only needs to stick his leg in front of someone and if contact is made it's a penalty. Against Man Utd, a player can make contact with his ankle and nothing is done.
All VAR does is give another chance to favour the big six.

Well I think you would have some sort of vetting
Would be plenty of ex League 1 or 2 players who know the game & could do with a job post playing
Obviously former players of Premier league teams wouldn’t be involved with their own clubs
The problem now is refs scratch each others backs as they don’t want to be thrown under the bus the next week
Famously Mike Dean didn’t review something as his ‘mate’ was having a bad day

GABBY Agbonlahor has suggesting this before I switched the channel over this morning.
He's as thick as pig shit. I see very little difference between what we have now, and what is being suggested with ex pros. I'd hate to have him reffing our games.
People just need to admit to themselves that VAR is shit and will never work when there's human involvement.

I’m sure Premier league refs are the highest paid in the world so they should open it to overseas refs
Can imagine any outsider that came in wouldn’t be welcomed by the current Cartel of Cunts
If VAR is to be retained it should be operated by a different group from the current refs …. retired refs, ex players etc

Get the top European refs in and dump our lot. No bias to certain clubs then. Hardly any issues with VAR in the Champions League.

A clear and obvious mistake which in all probability the ref himself has realised he made. Allow 20 seconds maximum, after all the ref makes his judgement on the spot it shouldn't take a room full of 'experts' and a machine longer than that.

The problem isn't the machine its the cunts in front of it, they must be acting under the instructions of the FA to keep their favoured darlings in the very profitable European places to prevent them setting up their own European super league. They already have it, free entry into the champions league courtesy of questionable refereeing.

VAR is shit how it is being used at the moment, should forget all the stupid line drawing for a bootlace offside stuff and just use a screenshot that’s immediately shown to the fans for anything clear and obvious.
The problem getting rid of it altogether is everyone will then be totally reliant on the incompetent and biased refs and Lino’s so it should be used to drive up the standard of officiating as well as anything clear and obvious.

The media will absolutely hate this idea and will roll out it's influencers in style to prove (PROVE), backed up by "indisputable" data, that VAR enhances viewer experience of the game (and, coincidentally advertiser & sponsor reach), conveniently overlooking the impact it has on those actually at and participating in the game itself.

Premier League clubs to vote on scrapping VAR on June 6
Any rule changes need a two-thirds majority - 14 of of the 20 clubs - to vote in favour.

I don’t see the ending of VAR as getting the game back….they will just revert back to the previous bias the top clubs get.

I have absolutely no interest or idea as to whether or not automated offside decisions will be an improvement on the current line drawing codswallop.
Until VAR is dumped and we get our game back we, as the fans and supporters, will continue to endure a version of the game which is alien to our sporting heritage.
The powers that be are truly clueless.

Faux - That's why it should just be used for 'clear and obvious errors' which I thought was the intention from the start.
It was announced yesterday that the PL are introducing continental style automated offside checks from next season which is a start.
